Passionate Hillsong Conference04 for His Kingdom

The Hillsong Conference Passionate 04 ended successfully on 9th July. Just as the title of the conference stated, they have this passion to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven. The five day conference was a tremendous meeting with energetic worship and powerful messages resounding throughout both the SuperDome and the State Sports Centre.

It was mainly divided into three streams:leadership, worship and community action. The Holy Spirit ignited the fire of the delegates through the sermons. This year's guest speakers included Joyce Meyer, Jentezen Franklin, Paul Scanlon, Frank Damazio, together with Hillsong's senior pastors Brian & Bobbie Houston and worship pastor Darlene Zschech.

Worship:
Australia's leading lady of musical theatre Marina Prior, Soul Survivor's Tim Hughes, Darlene Zschech, Joel Houston and the Hillsong team led the delegates into the awesome presence of God throughout the rally. Tulele Faletolu and Dee Uluirewa led the choir in full gospel style, setting the atmosphere for an incredible time of praise and worship. The Nubian Gents, New York dance troop, also gave a powerful and awesome dance performances.

Sermons:
"Jesus wants us to know what the Kingdom of Heaven is like, to prepare us for earth. We need to be a people who are living saved and called! It is people who live with a Kingdom spirit, who live impacting and potential lives. They are people who have a sense of purpose and destiny, who know how to give charity and honour His house." Brian Houston.

"A passion deficiency syndrome has hit the church. Our zeal for life has gone. We need to get it back because we only have a small window of opportunity to influence our world." Jesus lived his whole life with passion, with a sense of origin and purpose. We need to live as people who understand this, living with all the passion God intended for us in living an abundant life." Christine Caine.

"All leaders should build churches "with no roofs and no walls" - no obstructions or barriers that isolate the unsaved or the unchurched - but churches that are connected with the community AND have a kingdom-mindset." Frank Damazio

"I'm just as ordinary as you can be - if God can use me, He can use anybody. So many people are so talented, but they're too in love with the alabaster box. Don't tell me it's too late for God to use your life - I'm 62 years old! Whatever your call is, you have a holy responsibility to do whatever it takes to make sure nothing in your life and attitude is a hindrance. Stop running back to where you came from every time it gets hard. Do your part, take responsibility - because God wants to take you up to a new level." Joyce Meyer.

Joyce Meyer & Jentezen Franklin will be teaching on the weekend of Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July.

Also Hillsong Church's founder Pastor Brian Houston will be coming to London with Paul de Jong on the 30th & 31st July 2004 to hold a conference titled "Maximised Leadership".
