The first-person shooter video game "Overwatch" has decided to roll out a new patch that focuses on making balance adjustments to the character Mercy.

The update included another tweak to the healer's ultimate ability, Valkyrie. When activating it, it no longer affects the cooldown of Mercy's Resurrect ability. Instead, it adds a second Resurrect charge that the player can use within the duration of the Valkyrie ability.

Previously, activating Valkyrie will reset the cooldown of Resurrect. With the update, players using the character could potentially resurrect two targets simultaneously. However, because the cooldown of the ability is not reset, the patch would still reduce the number of resurrections that the character can do.

"This method makes Resurrect more flexible when used with Valkyrie," said Blizzard in the patch notes. "For example, in the past if you wanted to resurrect two teammates, you had to revive the first target, then activate Valkyrie (causing the Resurrect's cooldown to reset), and then revive the other target. With this change, you can now activate Valkyrie and fly in quickly to resurrect both targets instantly. However, this still reduces the overall number of Resurrects that Mercy can provide, since Valkyrie no longer reduces its cooldown."

Mercy's Guardian Angel ability was also updated, removing the cooldown reset that happens when players use Resurrect on the target teammate.

Lucio also got a tweak to fix his wall ride ability as there was a bug that slowed down his aforementioned ability. With the new patch, the character got a 65 percent boost in his speed after finishing a wall ride.

The new update also gave PC players the option to set their status to Online, Busy, Appear Offline, or Away. Appear Offline status will allow players to hide from their friends. However, they can still end up together in the same match.

The update is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
