Nigerian Bible Society urges repentance in face of AIDS epidemic

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN), has pledged to join in the fight against the Human Immuno Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), and other social vices.

The General Secretary of the Society, Rev. Fred Odutola, said this would be done through the preaching of the Word of God as well as modest and moral uprightness.

Odutola who disclosed this at a news conference to herald the bi-centenary celebration of the Society said the anniversary is dedicated to fighting against the scourge of HIV/AIDS and corruption.

The society has been a beneficiary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, and so would be represented at the 200 years celebration at the St Paul's Cathedral, London on Monday, March 8.
