NBA trade rumors 2017: Should the Clippers trade DeAndre Jordan?

The first month of the 2017-2018 NBA season has gone by, and while it is still quite too early to tell how the rankings will look like when the season ends, it is never too early to see potential trades that various teams may be looking to make. One of the biggest names being mentioned in trade rumors this early season is Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.

Although the team began the season with a hot 4-0 start, their fire was extinguished rather too quickly after the team suffered a number of injuries.

The team is coming off of a nine game losing skid, with three of its starting players down with injuries. Milos Teodosic, the European superstar known for his showtime assists, went down during only his second game in the league and is currently out indefinitely.

Forward Danilo Gallinari has been out with glute injury since earlier this month, and the team just received news that Guard Patrick Beverly will not be returning for the rest of the season as he recovers from a knee surgery.

Jordan, who will become a free agent after this season is prime candidate for a trade, if the Clippers finally decide to thrown in the towel on this core and start a rebuilding process.

After superstar guard Chris Paul chose not to resign to the team this summer, many expected the Clippers to break up its core and start rebuilding. However, to everyone's surprise, the team reloaded quickly with a number of talented players.

Now, with injuries plaguing the team and the highly competitive Western Conference becoming even more competitive thanks to the arrival of a number of all-stars from the East, the idea of trading Jordan for some valuable future picks or a young prospect is starting to become very attractive to the team.

Although the team is not yet shopping Jordan around, many teams will surely indicate their interest to trade for the high-flying center.
