According to a recent report by The Verge, the Moto X is now called the Moto X Style. The report adds that the new Moto X Style looks almost identical to the previous Moto X handset that was released last year.

In addition, Motorola also unveiled another new variant, called the Moto X Play, which comes with a smaller display screen in comparison with the Moto X Style.

The Moto X Style sports a large 5.7-inch display screen with a Quad HD pixel resolution. One of the interesting features of this device, according to reports, is its powerful 21-megapixel primary camera and its fast battery charging capability. According to the Verge, the Moto X Style is expected to be available in September for about US$400.

This phone is expected to be available first in Europe, Latin American countries, and Canada.

CNET reports that the Moto X Play is expected to be available by next month, and will cost about US$300 or US$400 less than today's high-end smartphones.

The new Moto G 3rd generation smartphone was also unveiled during the event. In comparison with the two abovementioned smartphones, the Moto G 3rd generation is a low-end device that have the same 5.5-inch display screen like its predecessor. However, unlike the Moto X Play, the Moto G 3rd generation is expected to support Long-Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity.
