Chinese smartphone maker Meizu recently released its new successor to the MX4 smartphone this month and is now preparing to launch a new successor to last year's MX4 Pro handset sometime this year as well. The previous Meizu MX4 Pro was unveiled back in October of last year and was later launched in December.

According to a recent report by Android Headlines, a new rumor suggests the new MX5 Pro handset will make its way out in the market possibly in September of this year.

In terms of the specifications, the Meizu MX5 Pro is rumored to sport a 6-inch display screen with a 1536 x 2560 pixel resolution (QHD). Like the MX4 Pro and the MX5, the new successor is expected to have a powerful 20.7-megapixel camera on the back.

In addition, the Meizu MX5 Pro is rumored to pack a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 4GB RAM, and a massive 4000 mAh battery, according to the report by Android Headlines. Also, there will be a physical home button on the MX5 Pro that will act as a fingerprint sensor as well.

Earlier reports say the MX5 Pro will run on the new Android Lollipop operating (OS) system along with Meizu's own Flyme UI.

In comparison with its predecessor, the MX4 Pro sports a 5.5-inch display screen with the same pixel resolution, 3GB RAM, a smaller 3350 mAh battery, and the same 20.7-megapixel rear camera. The MX4 Pro runs on the older Android 4.4.4 version KitKat OS with the Flyme 4.0.

Last month, the Meizu MX5 Pro handset was rumored to be launched by the end of this month, after it had received certification by the China Quality Certification Center, according to a report. Since this speculation has not been confirmed, it's possible that the MX5 Pro is coming out later this year.
