Meizu MX5 Pro Plus: New leaked images and specs

Last month, Chinese smartphone maker Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. launched its MX5 handset in the Chinese market. Before that, the company had released the MX4 back in September of last year.

Recently, according to a report by GSM Arena, new images of another handset called the MX5 Pro Plus have surfaced, offering a glimpse of how the phone might look like.

In terms of the specifications, the Meizu MX5 Pro Plus is expected to sport a phablet size 6-inch display screen along with a Quad HD pixel resolution, according to GSM Arena.

Like Samsung's recently launched Galaxy Note 5 phablet, the MX5 Pro Plus is rumored to pack an Exynos 7420 processor under its hood, alongside 4 GB of RAM.

Also, the new smartphone is anticipated to have a very high 20.7-megapixel camera on the back. According to Android Headlines, the MX5 Pro Plus could have up to 32 GB of built-in memory storage and might be powered by a whopping 4,100 mAh battery.

In addition, the report by Android Headlines added that the phone could come with a home button and fingerprint scanner as well. As for the operating system, it is possible it will come with the Android Lollipop OS pre-installed.

In comparison with Meizu's recently released device, the MX5 sports a smaller 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. This phone packs a Mediatek MT6795 processor and has a 20.7-megapixel camera on its back as well.

As of the release date of the MX5 Pro Plus, nothing has been mentioned yet. However, there is a possibility that the smartphone will arrive before the end of the year. According to International Business Times, the MX5 Pro Plus had also paid a visit to popular Android benchmarking application AnTuTu, which confirms the existence of the phone.
