'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' new characters Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter to arrive Oct. 17

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will be adding new characters on Oct. 17. Capcom

Capcom announced that the latest characters added to the fighting game "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite." Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter will launch on Oct. 17. Each of the new characters will be coming with a premium costume.

The three characters are part of the 2017 Character Pass package that also includes other characters like Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and Venom.

Black Panther and Sigma were also featured in a trailer released by the game's YouTube channel. The trailer showcased the two characters' gameplay footage, showing the unique fighting style and moves of each.

Although the trailer is only a short one, clocking at just over a minute, it shows a lot of action, with the two characters alternating to demonstrate their abilities.

Black Panther is shown with his signature cat-like, close quarters combat style. He uses his agility and his powerful slash attacks to create strong and lightning quick combos. On top of that, he can also jump around the arena, clawing onto walls and jumping off them to launch attacks on his adversary from every angle. This ability can make for very exciting combos, and it can also be useful in escaping attacks from his opponents.

Sigma, on the other hand, utilizes a slower, sword-based combat style that could bear down on the strongest opponents. His imposing stature is complemented by an array of versatile close and mid-range moves that features force waves and explosive lasers. He also has the ability to open up interdimensional rifts, summoning multiple copies of himself to tear apart his opponent.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not feature the gameplay of the third character, Monster Hunter.

Once released, each of the characters will have a premium skin included. These skins include a Black Panther costume with more prominent gold trimmings; a less colorful, silver themed Sigma suit; and a white, less armor-clad version of Monster Hunter.
