Man of Steel 2 sequel: Batman confirmed by Zack Snyder for 2015 release date- Justice League movie in 2017?

Zack Snyder has revealed plans for "Man of Steel 2", the sequel to this year's Superman flick, which has become #2 movie for 2013 so far.

The director confirmed the sequel, and revealed that Batman will be making an appearance in his next film. He said in a statement: "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world."

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment: Superman's 75th Anniversary Celebration
was held at Comic Con San Diego this week. Cast, filmmakers, artists and writers involved in all of Superman's films were in attendance, including Snyder and Henry Cavill.

The "Man of Steel" sequel is expected to release in 2015. However, Christian Bale is not expected to return as Batman.

The collaboration of Superman and Batman confirms that the hotly anticipated "Justice League" movie, in which all the DC Comics superheroes come together, including Wonder Woman, will indeed be released in the future.

According to latest reports, Superman and Batman will team up for The Flash in 2015, followed by a Justice League movie in 2017.

This will be the first time Batman and Superman will come together for a blockbuster film. However, the superheroes did team up in the comics titled "World's Finest."

"Man of Steel 2" is expected to release in 2015, the same year as Marvel's "Avengers 2."
