Will Henry Cavill's Superman suit get an upgrade? Man of Steel 2 New Batsuit and Wonder Woman suits to be unveiled soon

Man of Steel

Fans of the upcoming Man of Steel 2, aka Batman vs Superman movie, have had their share of surprises, beginning with the casting of Ben Affleck to Jesse Eisenburg's Lex Luthor.

It is rumored that the new Batsuit and Wonder Woman suit is expected to be unveiled to the public this week, showing superhero fans a glimpse of the future Justice-League-type film to come.

The news comes after screenwriter Mark Hughes tweeted on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014: "I've indeed heard that the original planned reveal date for bat-suit, WW suit, & Superman is before end of February..."

He continued: "So if that's accurate (as I feel sure it is) then IF they stick to the original plan, it could come sometime soon... ...but since filming moved back a few weeks, the reveal could be pushed back as well."

He also said of Wonder Woman's suit: "Yeah I've not heard much a/b WW's suit but what I did hear -- armored, sword, not a bathing suit -- is good so far."

Hughes hinted that Henry Cavill's Superman suit may get an upgrade too. "My guess a/b the "S" is just b/c Lois told him "here, it's an S." So maybe he'd change that now that he's called "Superman."... And I'd guess maybe a belt or something in the waist-area since the design would benefit from something to break up the blue there...Mostly the suit looked great in MOS so I hope they don't do too much to change it besides minor tweaks, anyway. That's my 2 cents."

The Batman/Superman movie will see the return of Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Laurence Fishburne as the Daily Planet's Editor-in-Chief Perry White. Gal Gadot will star as Wonder Woman.

There are reports that "Social Network" star Jesse Eisenburg's villain Lex Luthor will be a tattooed skinhead punk.

The Man of Steel sequel will be directed by Zack Snyder, who continues to remain tight-lipped about the anticipated Batman vs Superman film.
