Lin-Manuel Miranda confirms he and wife Vanessa Nadal are expecting second baby

The Tony award-winning actor and creator of the musical "Hamilton" Lin-Manuel Miranda has confirmed via social media that he and his wife are expecting their second child.

Miranda posted a bunch of photos from when he and his wife Vanessa Nadal went out on the red carpet at the 2017 London Evening Standard Theatre Awards. From the pictures, fans noticed that Nadal was sporting what appears to be a baby bump.

One Twitter user asked Miranda a very cryptic but very telling question, "Is V...?" The actor and singer then answered with a resounding "Oh hell yeah," confirming that he and his wife are expecting their second child. Cheers and congratulations soon flooded Miranda's Twitter feed.

Miranda married Nadal, a scientist and an attorney, in 2010. They are parents to their first-born, three-year-old Sebastian. Miranda also shared on Twitter that his son is very excited about the upcoming addition to the family.

"He is so impatient for it," wrote Miranda, adding, "Once, mid-tantrum, he cried, 'When is mommy gonna HAAAATCH.'"

Last month, the playwright took Sebastian to see the first act of the highly acclaimed "Hamilton" musical for an advanced celebration of the kid's third birthday. Miranda documented their trip on social media and shared baby Sebastian's review of the play.

"In summary, he liked it," said Miranda of little Sebastian's take on his musical. "His favorite part? 'The scary parts.' (Yorktown) But also 'the kissing and fighting and singing.'"

Miranda also noted that they will try Act 2 when Sebastian is a little older.

The official Twitter account of "Hamilton" also congratulated the couple, noting that the so-called "HamFam" is growing. The account also posted a photo of the couple along with the words "We came to say congratulations," which was taken from a line in one of the songs in the musical.
