LG G4 Pro vs LG G4 Note specs: both could take on Galaxy Note 5

With the release of the new LG G4 smartphone in the U.S. earlier this month, it is expected that the South Korean giant is planning to release two new devices, the LG G4 Pro and the LG G4 Note smartphone, sometime within this year.

The new LG G4 Pro smartphone is expected to be launched by the third quarter of this year, according to rumors, while the new LG G4 Note handset is expected to come out around the second half of this year, possibly in September.

The South Korean giant hasn't confirmed anything yet, so it remains unclear when exactly the new phones will arrive and whether they will be launched around these time.

Ecumenical News recently reported that the LG G4 Pro might come out this coming October, according to a leak by the Chinese social media website Weibo. The LG G4 Pro smartphone is expected to come with a whopping 27 mega pixel camera on the back, according to reports, and an 8 mega pixel camera on the front.

The LG G4 Pro is expected to sport a 5.8 inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The display screen will also be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood, reports say the LG G4 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB/64 GB internal memory. For the LG G4 Note, earlier rumors suggested it will sport either a 5.7 or 5.9 inch display screen with 3K resolution.

The LG G4 Note might come with the same 4 GB RAM but with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor and a big 3500 mAh battery. Both phones are expected to run on the same Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

The two phones may have what it takes to take on Samsung's highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which is expected to have improved specs over its predecessor, and is also expecting a release possibly by this September.
