New rumors about the upcoming action role-playing video game "Kingdom Hearts III" have surfaced, and fans are excited more than ever. Gamers are now looking forward to the possibility of the game featuring both Sora and Riku as playable characters.

According to an article by PlayStation Magazine U.K., the video game's story campaign will be run through Sora and Riku's perspective. The concept is similar to that of "Kingdom Hearts 2" with players able to play as Sora and Roxas on different timelines. Riku was also a playable character in the second installation, but only for a short time.

The article also mentions that the world of "Fantasia" will be included in the upcoming title. "Fantasia" is the third Disney animated feature film released back in 1940. This information indicates more screen time for the iconic Disney character Mickey Mouse. The "Toy Story" and "Tangled" worlds are also mentioned in the article, as well as a little information about the villain Xehanort. Other gaming content are also included in the article, but no specific release date is given so far.

The information provided by the article is not backed up by anyone from Square Enix to ensure its validity, thus readers should take this news with a grain of salt. The video game's director Tetsuya Nomura has also been silent for a while regarding one of the most-anticipated video game releases.

While Square Enix has not released any new trailers for the title so far, a tweet by Square Enix USA suggests "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released this year.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" remains one of the most-awaited video game titles of all time with consistent delays in production.

The latest installment to the video game series "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" received fairly good reviews from video game critics. The title got a 7.5 out of 10 from IGN and a 76 percent score rating from Metacritic.
