Kingdom Hearts 3 new gameplay features, worlds and characters

Kingdom Hearts 3 Square-Enix

In addition to Square Enix's most anticipated fantasy video game, the Final Fantasy 7 remake, the Japanese game developer company is expected to launch another popular video game, Kingdom Hearts 3.

First confirmed back in 2013, the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3 video game was announced once again at the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 event, with a new trailer, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the new action role playing video game.

As part of the Kingdom Hearts series and follow-up of the Dream Drop Distance video game, the new Kingdom Hearts 3 is expected to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game consoles.

The new game will have the main character Sora returning to the scene alongside well-known classic Disney characters such as King Mickey, Donald Duck and Goofy, among many others.

The recently released video trailer revealed new gameplay features and characters such as Keyblade transformations and capabilities. Video game artist and director Tetsuya Nomura said, "Kingdom Hearts III has three-person parties, but NPCs and other characters join the fight in each individual world, and the resulting action is really flashy and exciting."

"The enemy AI is a lot more intricate, too, and I think the gameplay will reflect that new dynamic balance. For example, there's a foe that's shaped like a vehicle, and Sora may jump on it and fly around; that's already implemented." Nomura added.

VG247 recently reported that the new video game will come with many new worlds, including those from Tangled and Hercules, compared to its predecessors. Games Radar suggested the game's basic foundation is already somewhere in its final stages of development.

Square Enix is apparently going full force with the release of both the Final Fantasy 7 remake and the Kingdom Hearts 3. The upcoming Final Fantasy 7 remake is expected to come back with its original story alongside new content, according to a report, and will be available for the PlayStation 4 platform.
