Kim Kardashian has made her first post-baby appearance on her mother's talk show Kris! this morning.

The new mom finally returned to the spotlight in a taped segment on Kris Jenner's day time show, surprising her by congratulating her mother on her new show.

The video was introduced by Jenner's guest host Diddy, who said, "Check this out for Revolt. I bought something special that I am going to debut on the network, I am going to debut it here first on the Kris show."

She taped a short message, saying, ''Hey mom, I just wanted to say congratulations on your new show. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I'm just loving life a little bit too much at home right now. But I watch you every single day and you are so amazing. You really are born to do this. I just want to say I love you and have an amazing show."

After the video message aired, Jenner wiped her eyes, saying tearfully, "You did make me cry.. Thank you Kimmy." She was clearly emotional as she was thanking everyone for making the surprise video, before Diddy took over.

The 31-year-old has not made any public appearances since the birth of her daughter North West in June.

Kardashian looked healthy and well after the birth of her first child with Kanye West. Baby North West, however, was not shown on today's show.

Kim Kardashian tweeted earlier that she was going to surprise her mother. "Getting ready to surprise my mom on @krisjennershow today!!!! You ready NYC? Tune in!"

Kanye West and Kardashian are reportedly determined to keep North out of the spotlight. Despite finding her fame on camera, Kardashian does not want her baby girl appearing on her reality.

However, after making a surprise appearance on her mother's show today, she may surprise her fans and introduce North West on Jenner's talk show at a later time.
