Kevin Ward Facebook tributes pour in after Tony Stewart crash [Video]

 Kevin Ward Jr Never Forgotten/Facebook

A Facebook tribute page has been created in memory of Kevin Ward Jr, 20, who was killed when fellow driver Tony Stewart ran him over at Canandaigua Motor Sports Park on Saturday night.

The shocking accident was caught on camera, and footage has of the crash has gone viral following the announcement that Ward has died from his injuries from the crash.

The incident happened just after Ward crashed out of the race. In the footage, Ward can be seen getting out of his car and walking towards the other cars still racing, seemingly looking to confront Stewart for the collision, which caused him to crash out.

However, as he walks towards the other cars, Stewart can be seen crashing into Ward, sending him flying before hitting the ground motionless.

Tony Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, dropped out of the race following the accident.

It is unlikely that Stewart, who was visibly shaken from the accident, will be criminally charged for the crash.

A spokesman from Stewart's team stated: "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. We're still attempting to sort through all the details."

Meanwhile, tributes have been pouring in online to honor the life and career of Kevin Ward Jr.
