Justin Timberlake recently released the helm track of his upcoming album "Man of the Woods" to be released on Feb. 2. Timberlake's pop song "Filthy" was released ahead the album, and it resulted to a rocky reaction from his fans.

The song was well received by a number of people, and music experts including Billboard. The song entered Billboard's top pop songs at number 23, making it the highest music debut for a male artist since The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face" in 2015.

Many of his longtime supporters expressed their joy with Timberlake's comeback album with "Filthy" in front. The song, however, also generated mixed reviews from people with some comparing the song to a Taylor Swift track. A number of people on Twitter say that song has certain similarities to Swift's 2017 release, "Look What You Made Me Do." One netizen wrote, "This first single 'Filthy' from justin timberlake honestly feels like someone lied to him. Getting a lot of 'look what you made me do' vibes from it. It's basically atonal bass wub wubs with a twist in the middle."

As a matter of fact, "Filthy" marks the highest pop track debut since "Look What You Made Me Do" at number 21 in September 2017. The volume of positive feedback still trampled negative remarks about the song.

"Filthy" was co-written by record producers Danja and Timbaland. "Man of the Woods" is Timberlake's comeback album after almost five years. Timberlake invited big names from the music industry to be part of the album including Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, The Neptunes, and Chris Stapleton.

There are still no updates from Timberlake if he will be releasing more songs ahead the album. Timberlake did announce his upcoming "Man of the Woods" tour. The Grammy winner released a trailer for the tour including footages of rehearsals and the statement, "Bring the outside in."
