Justin Bieber shows off massive new tattoo covering his torso

Pop singer Justin Bieber delivered a surprise to his fans and followers by showing off a new giant tattoo on his torso via social media over the weekend.

The artist posted a selfie and a video on Instagram on Saturday. It showed his massive new tattoo that covered the entirety of his chest and abdomen. The new dramatic tattoo featured gothic designs, featuring archways, skeletons, and gargoyles.

The new ink was done by tattoo artist Keith "Bang Bang" Mccurdy," a New York City-based artist who is known for creating ink jobs on celebrities. He also documented the process on Instagram, posting a photo of him inking his art on the singer's torso. The tattoo artist also revealed the grueling process they had to undergo to complete the project.

"[Justin Bieber] thank you for the trust. 26 hours over 3 consecutive days is the most I've ever tattooed anyone in my 13 year career. You're tough as nails man!" wrote Mccurdy in one of the posts.

Bieber, who is known to have over 60 tattoos on his body, has added the largest piece to his collection of body art. The new project connects to some of his existing tattoos on his chest. The singer has a lion head on his right chest and a snarling grizzly bear head on his left, while a cross is inked down the center of his chest.

The 23-year-old musician also has a tattoo of "1975" in Roman numerals right under his left collarbone. This tattoo is the singer's tribute to his mother.

The new tattoo also connects to the large bald eagle tattoo at the center of his torso, while masking the "Son of God" tattoo that he had on his stomach previously.

Naturally, fans and critics of the popular singer went nuts over the new tattoo. While comments on Instagram range from critical to supportive, many would agree that the singer's new ink job is nothing short of remarkable.
