The music video narrates fragments of Jay's sins to Queen B and a futuristic reality led by women. In the video, Jay-Z confesses his biggest sins including infidelity to Beyonce, who is seated inside the confessional box and is at the receiving end of Jay's revelations.

The music video also includes Jay-Z and Beyonce's eldest, Blue Ivy Carter. Jay-Z recruited a lot of celebrities to star in the music video, including Michael B. Jordan, Storm Reid, Mindy Kaling, Rashida Jones, Susan Kelechi Watson, Brie Larson, and more.

The music video was well received by fans and critics with its extensive elements and direction. Many people also applauded women empowerment highlighted in the video prior to the "Founding Mothers" content. The video shows a futuristic society led by women. DuVernay tweeted her own statement about the idea of women force in the video. "The founding mothers. What else is there to say? I believe in our power. And I appreciate these dynamic artists who came out on a Saturday to represent all kinds of women at the table. Not a set. ALL THE SEATS," she wrote.

"Family Fued" is one of the songs in Jay-Z's most recent released album "4:44." The album was released back in June 30, 2017 and is one of the most critically acclaimed releases last year.
