Xiaomi Mi 5, the successor to last year's Xiaomi Mi 4, is expected to be released this November, according to earlier rumors. In the meantime, the Honor 7 by Huawei has just made its way into the Chinese market recently this month.

Here's the difference between the two devices in terms of the specs and features.

Recently, new details of the Xiaomi Mi 5 have been leaked online via Chinese social media site Weibo. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to come with a 5.2 inch Quad HD LCD display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

On the other hand, the recently released Huawei Honor 7 also sports a 5.2 inch IPS LCD display screen but with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Internally, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 alongside 4GB RAM and up to 64GB internal memory storage. The Honor 7 is powered by Huawei's own HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor and will have 3GB RAM and up to 64GB internal memory.

For the cameras, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will have a 16 mega pixel rear camera and either an 8 or 6 mega pixel front-facing camera. The Honor 7 has a higher 20 mega pixel camera on the back and an 8 mega pixel camera on the front. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to pack a 3000 mAh battery while the Honor 7 comes with a slightly larger 3100 mAh battery. The Honor 7 also comes with a fingerprint sensor.

In addition, Slash Gear reports that a new rumor suggests Xiaomi's Mi 5 will be unveiled by the middle of this month, specifically on July 16.

GSM Arena reports that Huawei had received about 9 million pre-orders for its new Honor 7 handset in just a week time. The Chinese giant is later planning to launch the Honor 7 in the European market, but it's unclear whether the phone will be launched in the U.S.
