Help the Clay I become

A piece of clay, held in His hands
is all I am today.
Ready to be molded, Ready to be made,
in His own perfect way.
I must be willing, I must stay soft,
so that He can easily shape,
however He wants, whenever He needs,
into whatever whatever He'd please.
Lord, help me stay tender,
and let nothing hinder,
the shape that that you want me to be!
Please smooth my lines,
and erase my cracks,
So that I'll bring glory to thee!
I don't want to dry out,
I don't want to harden,
I just want to be used.
With the first and the best plan You have,
in whatever way You choose.
Lord, help me stay moldable,
and help me to do,
the things which glorify You!
Please, let the day that I was,
and make the day that I am,
help the clay I become!
