'Final Fantasy' news: Square Enix to launch a gallery event as part of 'Final Fantasy's' 30th anniversary

Square Enix is still in the middle of celebrating the 30<sup>th anniversary of the "Final Fantasy" video game series. After the Pop-Up experience in November in London, Square Enix is launching an event called "Legacy of Art" on Dec. 2 in California.

"Final Fantasy" producer Shinji Hashimoto made the announcement of the creative event through a video uploaded on YouTube. Hashimoto said, "The year is coming to a close, but activities for the FINAL FANTASY 30<sup>th Anniversary aren't stopping!" He also mentioned that Square Enix will welcome the holidays with the "Legacy of Art" event. "As you know the Holidays are a time of thanksgiving and tidings, and with that, we'd like to formally announce the FINAL FANTASY 30<sup>th Anniversary Gallery event," he added.

The gallery will be open to fans and the public until Jan. 7, 2018. The gallery will feature artworks "from the legacy of the FINAL FANTASY franchise." Other activities are also planned for the visitors according to the producer.

The "Legacy of Art" event will be held at the Gallery Nucleus at Alhambra, California.

Gracing the opening day will be world renowned Japanese artist Toshiyuki Tanaka. Square Enix and the organizers of the events have not released further information about other guests. Fans are also hoping for the gaming company to provide updates about upcoming Square Enix video games like "Kingdom Hearts 3" and the remake of "Final Fantasy 7."

The Pop-Up event that took place on London from Nov. 3 to Nov. 5 was a huge success with thousands of "Final Fantasy" fans attending.

Square Enix creator Hironobu Sakaguchi commended millions of fans for their unending support to the "Final Fantasy" franchise. "From all of you who had played we received your enthusiasm and that passion is what drives us creators. So we created this FINAL FANTASY world together," Sakaguchi said.
