Dutchman Bert Konterman: "My Motivation is to Pray Every Day"

|PIC1|Former Dutch international Bert Konterman played 12 times for his country, and he remembers the best player he ever faced:

I played against Amoroso, the Brazilian striker. He was also a complete football player I think. It was not really a tough game for me, but he surprised me really. Because I played against Ronaldo as well, and in my opinion Amoroso was better than Ronaldo in certain ways.

But there’s another side to the former Feyenord and Glasgow Rangers midfielder; his faith in JC:

I had a bad time in Scotland in the beginning, and I always kept my belief in Jesus Christ. And I think when we believe that there is actually more in life than money, big cars, and going to your work, it makes life much, much easier. My motivation is to improve my belief every day, to reads the Bible more, to pray every day, and get a response from God: “Yeah boy your on a good way, keep going!”
