Duck Dynasty season 4: New cast member Alan Robertson to share Word of God on show, premiere date August 14

Duck Dynasty season 4 will premiere next week on August 14.

The Robertson family will return to the small screen on A&E where cameras will follow their wealthy family business of selling products for duck hunters.

The business was founded by brothers Phil and Si Robertson, who spent 25 years making duck calls from Louisiana cedar trees.

The show stars Phil Robertson, his wife Marsha Kay, Silas Merritt "Si", and their children.

A new addition has been added to this season's cast – Pastor Alan Robertson. He is the eldest son of Phil, and is the only one without the iconic beard of the Robertson family. He has been a preacher and pastor at Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana for 22 years.

This year, Pastor Alan Robertson will be joining the show so that he can help share the word of God to more people.

"What I do for our church - you see, it's a pretty good-sized church - impacts a lot of people, but because of my association with the show, I'll get to minister to a lot more people," Alan told New York Post. "Any person that's an evangelist, that's what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger."

Alan, 47, will be joining the family's duck call manufacturing business as the public relations manager.

The conservative Robertson family recently celebrated "Duck Dynasty" day at Rick Warren's church to spread a message founded on their Christian faith. Phil and Alan headlined the event, which was held on July 21.

In April this year, Phil, Kay and Si attended the annual "Don Meyer Evening of Excellence" fundraiser at Lipscomb University in Nashvill, Tenn. The event reportedly sold out quickly and 15,000 people turned up from 17 states to see the Robertson family on stage.

During the event, Phil presented the Gospel to attendees, inviting them to accept Christ.

Brent High, associate athletic director for spiritual formation at the school, told Daily News, "I've never seen them speak anywhere where there is not a specific, Christian faith element."

The hit A&E show had brought instant fame to the Robertson family, which had Alan concerned about joining the show. "My children are grown, but all of my brothers' children are teenagers now, so how is this crazy world going to impact them?" he told the New York Post. "We think about John Luke and Sadie, who are such a big part of the show and they're teenagers, you know? They need to be just normal teenagers. We pray about that."

Alan's father Phil and mother Kay, along with his uncle Si and three brothers have all starred in the series for three seasons. Alan's wife Lisa is set to feature in the show, joining the wives of his three brothers.
