Dexter Season 8 has got fans hooked as the hit series goes deeper into its final season and what is expected to be a big climax at the finale.
It the latest spoilers news, this Sunday will see the third episode air titled, "What's Eating Dexter Morgan?," which will look to reveal more insight into Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Deb's (Jennifer Carpenter) troubled relationship.
The episode will also develop the storyline between Dexter and his new relationship with Dr. Vogel (Charlotte Rampling).
Previously many fans were left in shock at Deb shooting and killing another character on the show in Episode 2, and with such drama taking place early on in the new season, don't be surprised for there to be some massive twists later on in Season 8.
TV Guide's Natalie Abrams has stated that the recent killing was Deb's "rock bottom" and that Vogel will be helping her out.
Executive producer Sara Colleton has told TV Guide, "It's when her PTSD is at the worst and it's what makes her realize that she is in desperate need of help."
"Vogel steps in to say, 'Dexter can't deal with this; let me help'," Colleton added.
Deb will slowly begin to recover although it might take some time to get back to her usual self, Abrams has reassured.
Dexter's ex Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski) has also been touted to be making her much anticipated return in the near future, and fans are excitedly awaiting for how and when she will reappear.
It was announced in late June that Strahovski would be reprising her role of Hannah McKay, Dexter's ex-girlfriend, who eventually lands in jail. According to TVLine, Strahovski will make her return midseason, and it's safe to say fans cannot wait.
Colleton has said, "These two people were like magnets, and sometimes that can be attractive, sometimes that can be repulsive. But it will definitely be part of Dexter's emotional journey to experiencing what being a human being is all about."
"Dexter" Season 8 Episode 3, "What's Eating Dexter Morgan?," airs on Sunday, July 14 at 9 p.m. on SHOWTIME.
