'Death Stranding' news: Gamers excited for major update from Hideo Kojima; 2018 expected to be a big one for video games

Gamers are looking forward to a major announcement by the developers of the upcoming action video game "Death Stranding" in 2018. Few video game creators had already revealed their future plans that will surprise gamers from all over the world.

As reported by Gematsu, Japanese video game designer Hideo Kojima recently had an interview with Dengeki PlayStation for a special feature article, titled "Creator Interviews." In the interview, Kojima shared, "Development on Death Stranding is going well enough that SIE told us, 'We have never before seen a game being created at such a fast pace.' We are planning an announcement that will further surprise everyone in 2018."

Many gamers and video game critics are still asking about the full content of the upcoming video game. The most recent update for the game is its cinematic trailer released during the Game Awards. "Death Stranding" is one of the most-anticipated video game releases next year.

Dengeki also spoke to Level-5's President Akihiro Hino. Level-5 will be celebrating its 20<sup>th anniversary in 2018, and the company will mark the milestone with a new video game installment. The company is working on "a major title" to honor the anniversary according to Hino. The video game mogul did not provide any further details about the project.

Other than Kojima and Hino, the magazine publication also invited Koei Tecmo Games' Yosuke Hayashi, and it looks like "Nioh" will even be bigger in the near future. "I want Nioh to become even bigger. Please keep an eye out in the future," Hayashi told Dengeki.

The publication also includes big reveals by Naoya Shimokawa from Aquaplus and Toshihiro Kondo from Nihon Falcom. Shimokawa said he wants an anime adaptation of the video game "Utawarerumono: Futari no Hakuoro." Kondo shared some interesting information about the future of the video game series "The Legend of Heroes."
