"Soul Surfer" Bethany Hamilton believes that the people you surround yourself with in your life's journey play a key role in shaping your future, and that is why she is encouraging others to always surround themselves with like-minded people who support their dreams and goals.

On her Instagram page (@bethanyhamilton), the new mom wrote: "I believe it's important to align yourself with people and groups who share the values and beliefs that are close to your heart, which is why I'm so glad to be partnered with @cobianfootwear. Cobian's motto is 'Every Step Matters' and to me this means that our actions impact ourselves and those around us! My path has taken me in so many directions and I try to be intentional along the way with my decisions and with the people I encounter."

Cobian Footwear, a Christian company that specialises in comfortable footwear, recently tied up with Hamilton in creating a stylish line of sandals.

Those who know Hamilton would know that her path has always led her to surfing. Even though she encountered a terrible shark bite accident several years back while enjoying the sport she loves, Hamilton has never lost her zest to surf and continues to conquer the waves day in and day out.

"It's so much more than just a sport or a lifestyle," she said of surfing. "It's my inspiration, my passion, and just a part of who I am!"

Because of surfing, Hamilton was able to travel to Indonesia with her friends, who also share her interest. "We'd be out in the middle of nowhere, with no cell service or distractions, just a fun group of girls doing what we love!" she shared. "Surfing makes me feel exhilarated and completely in the moment. I love getting creative on the waves and it pushes me to be the best surfer I can be!"
