The sequel to 2016's action-packed "Attack on Titan" video game is still a few months away from release, but publisher Koei Tecmo has already begun providing details about the highly anticipated "Attack on Titan 2."
One of the additions to the gameplay of the sequel is the Buddy Actions, which will allow players to perform a number of support options to help their team win against the Titans. The actions include Rescue, Recovery, and Titan Transformation, which could potentially allow player-controlled characters to utilize the immense power of the Titans.
There are also some new moves that will be available in the upcoming game. These moves will further widen the arsenal of players in their combat against the enemy. The new moves include hook drives that will enable characters to jump and evade enemy attacks. The move will also allow them to get closer to their target for a close-quarter combat.
Scouts will be able to sneak around Titans for some highly tactical maneuvers. To do this, they would have to move quickly to steer clear of the giants' field of vision. Although doing this may be difficult to perform, pulling it off could provide a huge advantage for the entire team.
Players will also be able to use various items like flash grenades and restraining guns that will give them various advantages during fights. This will also help scouts defeat and capture the Titans.
Koei Tecmo America also shared a selection of assets that will be featured in the upcoming game, including battle gameplay features. It also released a video and some images of characters Hannes, Mitabi Jarnach, Zoe Hange, Erwin Smith, Rico Brzenska, and Ian Dietrich, all of whom will be included in the playable character roster of "Attack on Titan 2."
"Attack on Titan 2" was confirmed earlier this year and is set to be released sometime in 2018.
