Apple releases sixth update of iOS 11.2 beta

Apple has released the sixth beta version of the iOS 11.2 for developers Friday, only a few days after the fifth beta version was released. The rapid release suggests that changes are coming along nicely and the official 11.2 version might soon be released.

The sixth update comes just three days after the company released the fifth beta version. It also comes one month since the first major update, 11.1, was released. While Apple has not revealed exactly when iOS version 11.2 will be arriving, many users have speculated on what the upcoming big update will include.

One feature that will be arriving with the future update is Apple Pay Cash. Apple's new peer-to-peer payment service was supposed to have been released with the first version of iOS 11, but the company decided to delay the feature to a future update.

With Apple Pay Cash, users will be able to send payments through the Messages app. The feature can be accessed through a dedicated iMessage app in Messages. It is designed to allow quick cash transfers between users. Users can send cash through a linked credit or debit card, while received money can be stored in an Apple Pay cash card or sent to a bank account.

With the upcoming update, the Control Center on all devices will get two new informational pop-ups clarifying the settings for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles. The pop-ups explain that the features are only temporarily disabled when toggled using the Control Center.

The iOS 11.2 will also come with support for a higher wattage of wireless charging, which will lead to faster charging times when the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X are used with compatible wireless chargers.

The iPhone X will also be getting an additional indicator marking the location of the Control Center gesture. This will help users know where to start swiping if they want to open up the control center.
