Apple releases new iOS 11 update to fix crackling noise on iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

Apple rolled out the latest update to the new iOS 11 in order to address a number of problems that have been reported by users. iOS 11.0.2 is now available for iPhone users. Among the issues that this update will address is the iPhone 8 crackling audio problem.

Users of the brand new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have reported through various forums that the phones are making crackling noises when making phone calls. Some users were concerned that the problem might be with the new iPhone itself. Luckily, Apple acknowledged the problem to be an issue with the mobile operating system and quickly came up with the latest update to fix it.

According to the version 11.0.2 release notes, the patch also addressed the issue that caused some photos to be hidden, as well as the issue where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open.

Last week, the company released the 11.0.1 update that fixed the huge problem concerning the Mail app and Microsoft email accounts.

There are still a number of other problems and bugs that users have reported that may still be present even after the update. These issues range from pretty serious battery drain problems and freezing to smaller lags and occasional delays.

The iOS 11 only launched on Sept. 19 after months of beta testing, but it has already received a couple of updates to address a number of bugs. This shows that while beta testing surely helps polish any major software releases, it is far from being able to create a perfect software product that is issue-free.

Although the iOS 11 is far from perfect, the quick succession of patches may be indicative of Apple's commitment to rapidly fixing the issues observed in the mobile operating system. However, with the amount of changes implemented in the new iOS, it may take some time before all these issues get addressed.
