MacBook Pro 2016 release date rumors: What to expect?

American tech giant Apple Inc. is reportedly working on its upcoming MacBook Pro device that is expected to launch sometime next year. The MacBook Pro is anticipated to come with more powerful features over its predecessor.

Yibada reports that the new MacBook Pro could be available in two or three different versions.

The standard version is rumored to have 4GB RAM and up to whopping 128GB internal memory stage. The second is seen to come with the same 4GB RAM but with larger 256GB memory. The last version, on the other hand, is speculated to feature a larger 8GB RAM and a massive 516GB memory capacity while running on Intel's i7 processor. The report adds that these versions will have different screen sizes, ranging from 13 to 15 inches.

In addition, Apple's new MacBook Pro could take on the likes of Microsoft's highly anticipated Surface Pro 4, which is rumored to be launched in October. In terms of the specifications, the Surface Pro 4 is expected to be available in two versions that will run on Microsoft's latest Windows 10 operating system (OS) and Intel processors.

As of this time, not much is known about Apple's upcoming MacBook Pro 2016. The other rumored features of the device include a USB Type-C port and possible a Thunderbolt port as well.

Earlier this year, Apple launched its MacBook Pro 2015 with retina display. This MacBook Pro comes in two versions that have Force Touch capabilities with improved storage capacity and longer battery life.

The MacBook Pro 2015 models have 15-inch display screens with Intel's Iris Pro Graphics under the hood. One runs on a 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and the other on a 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor.

MacWorld UK reported earlier this year that the MacBook Pro's latest upgrade offers users up to nine hours battery life.
