The 14-year-old Rainy Brown from the reality television show "Alaskan Bush People" has given an update about her mother, who is currently battling stage IV lung cancer.

Over the weekend, the young reality star posted on Instagram about the morning she spent with her mother, Ami. She posted a photo of the tea that they enjoyed.

"My mom and I spent all morning making our favorite peach tea," she wrote. She also shared the she and her mother bonded while crafting their favorite essential oils.

She said that her mother is now undergoing a second round of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, it may be too early to tell how her body is taking the therapy.

"But we are all hopeful and faithful, thank you all so much for your support and love in this harsh time," Rainy wrote.

The family matriarch, Ami, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. The family has relocated from their home in rural Alaska to Southern California where she is getting her treatment.

The mother of seven is remaining positive throughout her ordeal. She said she realized that if she becomes a pessimist, it would be very easy to just give up and die. However, the 54-year-old reality star would has no plans of doing that. She says that she has the will to fight, and believes that worrying will only make her condition worse.

"There is hope and that hope is having faith in God," she told People. "You can't give up. I tell people be happy. Just be happy. It's a choice. Things can be hard and you just want to curl up but you have to shine."

It has not been confirmed whether the reality series will be coming back to television for its eighth season. The show's seventh season was aired in the summer on Discovery Channel.
