200 Rally to Protect Marriage in California

Nearly 200 Christian and pro-family advocates gathered at Pershing Square in Los Angeles, to protect traditional marriage in California, Tuesday, May 18, 2004. Sponsored by the Campaign for California Families, keynote speakers included the CCF spokesperson Luis Galdamez, Assembly candidate Manny Aldana, Dr. Martin Garcia, and Carlos Ortega of Radio Nueva Vida.

For two hours, mostly Hispanic protestors held signs with biblical scripture calling against homosexuality. Others held signs protesting AB 1967, which is a “full-blown homosexual “marriage” amendment” proposed to the California legislature.

On May 22, the CCF will be sponsoring a larger rally in Sacramento, with support from Christian and pro-family groups across Northern California.
