Last week on "The Young and the Restless," Adam asked Ashley for his job back, and while Ashley made it clear that she doesn't trust him, Jack said that that's the reason why she should hire him. If she thinks that he's untrustworthy, then perhaps he can outsmart Victor. Billy and Ashley told Adam to go but Jack decided to hire him as a special consultant to find out who's behind the Paragon Project. Phyllis thought that Jack was making a mistake, but Jack said that he knew what he was doing.

Adam got Ian to help him find out about the project, and though Ian didn't like to work alongside Jack and Victor, Adam told him that he must play his part well so he would know everything there is to know. Later, Ian ran into Phyllis and she invited him for dinner. He introduced himself as Fred.

Lily got a call from Cane who said that an eyewitness saw Hilary being carried by someone who resembles Devon, but Devon maintained that he's innocent.

On the island, Cane and Michael got arrested for withholding information, but they got out of jail soon and were surprised when Devon showed up. He said that he was there to talk to an eyewitness named Jimmy. Jimmy arrived and said that the man he saw wasn't Devon after all — that man was taller and had more hair.

At the boathouse, Neil told an unconscious Hilary that he only heard her scream and saw her in the water. He wanted her to wake up and tell him if Devon was responsible for what happened to her. Knowing that he needed more things to care for Hilary, Neil broke into the hospital and stole medical supplies.

Meanwhile, Hilary regained consciousness and she remembered Neil showing her the boat house and him being blind. Neil got back and found her unconscious, but the IV pole was on the ground.
