After a long delay, the "Survival" downloadable content for "Tom Clancy's The Division" will finally see the light of day as the long-awaited expansion comes to Xbox One and PC on Nov. 22. The add-on was originally slated for release last summer, but Ubisoft delayed the DLC to give the developer time to work on some remaining issues.

According to MS Power User, the DLC will bring a brand-new gaming experience to "The Division" as the two-hour quest will be comprised of 24 players. Each of the playable characters will start out weak and hungry, and the ultimate goal is survival, hence the name of the upcoming expansion. To survive, players will have to trek to the center of the map and collect items to help them stay healthy as they make their way to an area called the Dark Zone.

According to Gamespot, players will find themselves in very familiar surroundings as the DLC takes place on the same New York City map as the main game. The expansion starts with players being flown in via helicopter, and as it crashes, the players are scattered all over the map. Gamers will then have to find special items as they make their way to the center of Manhattan. To survive, players must battle the elements and stay healthy, and items to help achieve this, such as scarves and coats, can be found throughout the map.

PC players who purchased "The Division" Season Pass before Nov. 3 can play a beta version of the upcoming expansion on the game's testing server on Uplay, and it will be playable soon on Steam. The DLC will be available on PlayStation 4 one month after it comes out on Xbox One and PC, and it is expected to come with the free patch 1.5 update.

The "Survival" DLC comes after the first expansion called "Underground," which was released in June. The third and last DLC called "The Last Stand" will be released in 2017.
