Two new characters will be introduced in "The Walking Dead" season 8.

TVLine reports that prior to the looming war between the coalition of survivors from Alexandria, Hilltop, and Kingdom versus the ruthless members of the Saviors and Scavengers, AMC isl looking for new cast members to portray the roles of two men.

According to the report, the network released the descriptions of the two new characters who will be introduced in season 8. The first one is for the character named Dillon, who is described as "a sexy, blue-collar twentysomething whose survival skills include sarcasm."

On the other hand, the second character will be called Abbud. Based on the casting call, the character is "an innately likable Muslim American whose nerves are, let's say, jangled, because he's flown solo for too long in zombieland."

The report also reveals that between the two characters, it could be expected to see Dillon survive all the craziness that will happen in the next episode of AMC's post-apocalyptic zombie series since the casting notice for the roles reveals that the chosen actor could be tapped to appear on the show's next seasons.

Meanwhile, showrunner Scott M. Gimple told Entertainment Weekly that season 8 of "The Walking Dead" will have a faster pace and will focus less on a particular community.

"By virtue of the fact that the narrative has turned into one of pretty intense conflict," Gimple stated in the interview. "It's going to affect the structure in ways that make it a bit more kinetic, a bit more breakneck — shifting away from entire stories in one episode, and sort of fractured over several episodes, with little pieces of each story coming together."

This means that since the previous season featured a more structured outline, the producers of the show will want to mix up the structure of season 8 for a different feel.

Filming for "The Walking Dead" season 8 is set to begin on Monday, May 1, but the network has yet to announce the show's release date for its upcoming season this fall.
