Caroline (Candice Accola) is going to have a rough time in the Oct. 15 episode of "The Vampire Diaries." The episode, titled "Never Let Me Go," will see Caroline become a pawn in Lily and the Heretics' plan for revenge. In new promo photos released on TVLine, it looks like the big bad crew of Mystic Falls will be kidnapping Caroline and torturing her. And as if her day wasn't bad enough, Caroline will also be discovering something shocking about Stefan's past.

But it looks like Caroline will still be with the Heretics in the Oct. 22 episode of the show as she waits for Stefan to rescue her. Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham), Alaric (Matthew Davis), and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be going on the road in search of leverage they can use against Lily.

Promo photos also show Bonnie in a car with Officer Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig), who Bonnie will cast a spell on later in the season. According to Graham, it will be "a little creepy and could go terribly awry."

Meanwhile, fans who are still heartbroken about Elena's (Nina Dobrev) fate on the show are still hoping that she would make a return to the series. As Somerhalder knows that loyal viewers will have a hard time accepting whoever it is that Damon ends up with this season, the actor told E! News that fans should take heart as Damon and the rest of the "TVD" characters are "still here," and moreover, Damon is still the same person even without Elena by his side.

"Damon is still here and he's still evolving and he's still having a blast and he's still super smarmy, ridiculously over confident, very wildly embarrassing and degrading things and he will continue to do that, but with a little love for Elena in his heart," said Somerhalder.

"The Vampire Diaries" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
