In the next episode of "The Shannara Chronicles," Wil Ohmsford (Austin Butler) and Mareth (Malese Jow) go on a quest for answers.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Wraith" was released just recently and showed Ohmsford and Mareth going on a journey to find Allanon (Manu Bennett), who Mareth claims is her father. Ohmsford tells her that he has not seen the druid in months but she insists that they must find him because he is the only one who can train her.

When they finally find Allanon, he tells Ohmsford, "She believes herself to be my child. That is not possible." It seems that Mareth may be heartbroken upon knowing that she may not be Allanon's daughter. It remains to be seen how their bittersweet reunion will play out in their meeting.

Alannon also tells Ohmsford about Bandon (Marcus Vanco) and his quest for power. "Bandon's magic grows stronger. It is guiding him to resurrect the Warlock Lord," However, Ohmsford claims that his father defeated the Warlock Lord 30 years ago. Nevertheless, images of the evil being wearing a red cloak are shown and pose a threat to the people of the Four Lands.

In the last episode, the spirit of the Warlock Lord searched for Ohmsford and attacked him at his home in the forest. He was surprised by the mysterious warlock who blasted him out of the window.

Fortunately, he was not that hurt by the force of the blast. In addition, Mareth arrived just in time to save him by creating a hologram of Ohmsford which lured the warlock in a different direction and away from them. After that, the two went on the journey to seek out the druid Allanon.

"The Shannara Chronicles" season 2 episode 2 will air on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 10 p.m. EDT on Spike.
