"The Royals" premiered its second season last Sunday, and the episode had a lot of plot twists as well as some surprising revelations about the Henstridge family.

In the season 1 finale of the E! series, King Simon was murdered and Prince Robert appeared to be dead as well, and in the new season's premiere, the King's children Prince Liam (William Moseley) and Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) took a break from their hard-partying ways to find out who killed their father.

Liam and Alexandra have been behaving badly since King Cyrus (Jake Maskall) stripped them of their titles and kicked them out of the palace. Now that Cyrus is the head monarchy, the siblings had no choice but to beg his forgiveness, and he allowed them to come back to the palace—after Eleanor kissed his ring.

Liam also hired Jasper (Tom Austen) as his new bodyguard, and Eleanor's former lover, Beck, came back to tell her that he left his wife. Prudence, the maid who Cyrus blackmailed into sleeping with him, also returned and told him that she's pregnant. At the end of the episode, Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) gazed at the Domino emblem burning in the palace lawn, and when her mother the Grand Duchess (Joan Collins) saw it, the Duchess said that she thinks they killed Robert and Simon.

"We kill one of theirs, they kill two of ours. The question is, what do you plan to do about it?" asked the Grand Duchess.

Speaking to TVLine, the drama's stars Moseley, Park, Austen, Maskall, and Hurley talked about what fans can expect from the new season. Hurley said that more will be revealed about the Grand Duchess's identity, specifically about her background.

"Helena tells Eleanor a lot about her background this season, both with her mother and about how she came to marry the king," said Hurley. She said that people will get to know who the Duchess really is, and Maskall added that it's "a great reveal."

Moseley and Austen also talked about Liam and Jasper teaming up to find out who killed Simon.

"It's very man-on-a-mission," said Moseley. Austen adds, "Liam and Jasper aren't necessarily buds to begin with, but that definitely develops."

As for Eleanor and Jasper's relationship, Austen said that the two will be figuring out if their relationship can work. Last season, the two were involved until she had him arrested for sleeping with her mother.

"The Royals" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on E!
