The fate of the two TV series from The CW has been sealed, after the network announced the renewal of "iZombie" and "The Originals" for its fourth and fifth seasons, respectively.

The reports claim that the renewal of the two TV series means there are 11 series from The CW that will be back for another season. The list includes "Supernatural," which will be back for season 13, "Arrow" for its season 6, "The 100" for season 5, "The Flash" and "Jane the Virgin" for season 4, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," "Supergirl," and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" for season 3, and "Riverdale" to return for its sophomore season.

However, the network's new shows "Frequency" and "No Tomorrow" are not fortunate enough to be renewed. Both shows were canceled after their first seasons.

Among the two newly renewed shows, "The Originals" was initially expected not to survive the chopping block after the cancellation of its mother series, "The Vampire Diaries," after its eighth season.

The series is expected to see the return of the Mikaelson family, including Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) are also expected to be back for the show's fifth season.

"iZombie," on the other hand, will bring back the zombie named Liv Moore (Rose McIver) to solve murder cases with the help of the information that she gets from eating the brains of victims. She will be joined by Malcolm Goodwin (Clive Babineaux), Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley), and Blaine McDonough (David Anders) in the upcoming season.

The network also greenlights four new series for the upcoming 2017–2018 season, including the "Dynasty" reboot, another superhero series called "Black Lightning," Lucy Hale's new dramedy "Life Sentence," and the military drama titled "Valor."

The premiere dates for the upcoming series will be announced soon.
