In the next episode of "The Mayor," Courtney Rose (Brandon Michael Hall) has to solve the public transportation crisis as the bus driver's union go on strike.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "The Strike" was just released recently and showed Fort Grey transportation employees going on a strike which causes traffic to come to a crippling halt. Mayor Rose meets with the transit chiefs and says, "If you could have one wish." He is suddenly cut short by the chiefs as they give their requests like pension and health care. It appears that he does not know how to handle the people's grievances and reach a compromise. In addition, the mayor has to deal with the fierce Transit Union lawyer named Amber. He realizes that he cannot outsmart him with his charm and good looks. This time he needs to put in some serious thought in order to reach a deal with Amber and the Union.

Rose realizes later that he needs the help of Valentina Barella (Lea Michele) to help iron out the situation. "I need someone who has no regard for people's feelings," he tells Barella, who is eager to assist him. "You came to the right place," she replies. It remains to be seen how Rose and Barella will be able to appease the Union and reach a compromise with them.

In the last episode, Rose and his staff threw a Halloween party at City Hall and hoped that it would bring down the crime rate during that particular holiday. On the contrary, the rate went up and Rose was forced to cut the party short so that the police force could handle the crime around the city. Nevertheless, the kids were grateful that he threw a party for them.

"The Mayor" season 1 episode 5 will air on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 9:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
