In the next episode of "The Librarians," the Librarians are made to fight one another in order to determine the one who will tether to Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn).

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "And the Trial of the One," were just recently released, and they show the Librarians namely Ezekiel Jones (John Harlan Kim), Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth), and Jake Stone (Christian Kane) preparing to fight against one another in a landscape of their own nightmares. The Library has taken it upon itself to determine who will become Baird's partner. However, it seems like it has chosen a brutal route because the Librarians appear to have been placed under some sort of spell which makes them forget their humanity. They are now eager to kill their own without any hesitation or remorse.

"Welcome to the Trial of the One," Jenkins (John Larroquette) says to the contestants. "Fight to the death between Librarians." Jones, Cillian, and Stone immediately take cover and prepare their own strategy. They each take out their rifles and shoot at each other. A knife suddenly whizzes by and almost hits Jones, who is stunned by the close call. Baird pleads with Jenkins to stop the trial. However, it seems like Jenkins himself is under a spell and will kill two Librarians if the ultimate one is not determined.

In the last episode, Jenkins' (John Larroquette) body was switched with a slacker named Jeff (Andrew Caldwell), who wanted to become him and infiltrate the Library. Jenkins was stunned by the switch and immediately went back to the Library to change places with Jeff. It was not without any hitches or shenanigans.

"The Librarians" season 4 episode 11 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. EST on the TNT network.
