In the 2-episode season finale of "The Last Ship," commanding officer (CO) Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and the USS Nathan James goes head-to-head with the Greek naval ship that is protecting Dr. Paul Vellek's (Peter Weller) and the miracle seeds.

In the latest trailer for season 4 episodes 9 and 10 titled "Detect, Deceive, Destroy" and "Endgame," the squad of the USS Nathan James gets into a fight with the Greek soldiers at sea. They seemingly are on the enemy's vessel to capture Vellek and take control of the ship. Lt. Carlton Burk (Jocko Sims) shoots at the enemies in one scene. Unfortunately, it appears that Miller (Kevin Michael Martin) is badly hurt and needs help.

There is an exchange of gunfire and missiles are launched from both ships to attack the other. In the last scene though, it appears that Chandler is caught by Vellek's daughter Lucia (Sibylla Deen) who points a gun at him. It is also hinted that their mission is unsuccessful at this point.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Chandler and his squad will be able to regain the advantage and capture Vellek and his Greek army on the enemy ship.

In the last episode, British agent Fletcher (Jonathan Howard) tried to contact the Nathan James and give the coordinates of Vellek's naval vessel. However, he was caught by Vellek's son Giorgio (Jackson Rathbone) and got shot in the head.

Fletcher initially betrayed Chandler and stole the miracle seeds from him to give to Vellek. However, when he found out that Vellek was hatching a plan to inject the seeds with a mind-control drug to take over the world's population, he decided to turn on him and help Chandler instead to save the world.

"The Last Ship" 2-episode season 4 finale will arrive on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
