In the next episode of "The Gifted," Eclipse (Sean Teale), John Proudstar a.k.a. Thunderbird (Blair Redford) and the rest of the mutants attempt to save Lorna Dane a.k.a Polaris (Emma Dumont) and Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) from Sentinel Services.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "eXit Strategy," was released recently and showed Eclipse holding a meeting with the Mutant Underground and says, "Lorna has risked her life for everyone in this room. She needs us. Who's with me?" The mutants including Reed's kids Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) look at one another and unanimously decide to save Polaris and Reed from Sentinel Services. They plan to do this by intercepting a convoy and stopping the bus that is carrying the captives.

The mutants are able to determine the route the convoy is going to take. They stand by at their posts and wait. When the bus arrives, Lauren and Andy attack together and blow up a car to cause a distraction. However, they suddenly are not able to wield their powers. Blink (Jamie Chung) says, "It's not working. What's happening?" It seems that the Sentinel Services have a mutant of their own who can stop other mutants from using their powers.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the Mutant Underground will be able to save Reed and Polaris. and if the Sentinels have their own mutant who does their bidding.

In the last episode, Reed's wife Kate (Amy Acker) and the kids got into trouble when a mob of humans surrounded their dwelling and wanted to capture them. Fortunately, Eclipse and Thunderbird were there just in time to help them escape through a portal created by Blink.

"The Gifted" season 1 episode 4 will air on Monday, Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
