It seems like it's not just electric cars that Tesla is working on. They are also developing electric trucks.

Tesla is said to launch its electric semi-truck on Nov. 16. An announcement emailed to the press, as reported by TechCrunch, showed an image of what the Telsa truck could look like, albeit clad in shadow, alongside the iconic headlights that were teased earlier.

Initially, Tesla had wanted to slowly launch their electric truck by the end of October, as announced by CEO Elon Musk, but their plan had to be pushed to a November launch date after the automaker company decided to focus its time and logistics to helping set up solar energy generation and storage centers in Puerto Rico as part of its humanitarian campaign to help the country address the problems left by the hurricane.

Tesla's electric truck is said to operate between 200 and 300 miles of range per single charge, which, according to reports, would need a large battery capacity to attain this goal.

Musk also shared that Tesla has worked hand-in-hand with different logistics provider on the aesthetic of the electric truck and that all of their suggestions have been essential in crafting a vehicle that is also commercially viable. It's current projected travel range could likely mean that the electric truck will be more suited for short or medium-haul travels, but could also work with city-to-city or longer routes in some areas for towing bigger loads with an added cost but still lower compared to using fuel.

The other possible feature that Tesla could put in the electric car is its ability to be self-driving. It has been reported that Musk's company has talked with several DMVs around the country in testing their vehicles on the road. With its planned launch, Tesla will be bringing in a lot of its strengths to the trucking market.
