Teresa Giudice prison update: RHONJ star to attend prison Christmas party before release

Teresa Giudice and her family are counting down the days until she is released from federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has been incarcerated since Jan. 5 for fraud, and next week, the mother of four is set to be released for home confinement, just in time for Christmas.

But before she goes back to her normal life, a new report says that Teresa is going to be enjoying the company of her fellow inmates one last time at a party inside the prison.

"Before Teresa is released, there will be a Christmas party for the inmates at Danbury Correctional Facility, and she is excited to be a part of that," said a source to Radar Online. The insider said that while the 43-year-old is looking forward to being with her family again, leaving prison will be "bittersweet" for the star as she has made some very good friends with the other inmates.

Earlier this year, Teresa's husband, Joe, revealed that Teresa has indeed made some friends in prison and that they spend time by doing each other's nails and even exercising together in jail. The Radar Online source said that leaving will be hard for the star, as some of her friends still have years in their sentences.

The source also revealed some information on how the Giudice family will be celebrating the holiday. The Housewife is said to have asked her daughters to buy some gifts for Joe with some help from her family, and the insider added that Teresa also made some gifts for her family while waiting for her release date.

The insider said that this is going to be the last Christmas Teresa and Joe have together for four years, since he is going away to serve his 41-month prison sentence for fraud in March. But the family is said to be focusing on their time together. Teresa will be released from prison on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
