Tad Cummins-Elizabeth Thomas latest news update: Abductor left wife note to derail investigation

New details about the Elizabeth Thomas kidnapping case emerged after a note from reported kidnapper Tad Cummins addressed to his wife on the day of their mysterious disappearance was found.

The note was confirmed by District Attorney Brent Cooper, but he did not specify its contents. However, Cooper did say that it was aimed to mislead the investigation regarding the alleged abduction of the 15-year-old teenager.

Thomas has been reported missing since Monday, Mar. 13. This prompted the police authorities from Tennessee to issue an Amber Alert for her.

Talks about the teen's relationship with the 50-year-old kidnapper, who also happens to be her health sciences teacher at the Culleoka Unit School in Maury County, Tennessee, emerged after an unidentified student reportedly claims to have seen them kissing in one of the school's classrooms.

ABC News, on the other hand, cites another information from the district attorney saying that pharmacists should be on a lookout for Cummins since he would need to refill his medication to control his blood pressure.

The last confirmed sighting of the runaway pair was at a Walmart store in Oklahoma. The surveillance video reveals that Cummins tried to alter his appearance by wearing a darker hair, while Thomas appears to be sporting a red hair.

The teen's father Anthony Thomas filed for a petition for perpetuation of testimony so his family's lawyer can take depositions of people who reportedly know the extent of the relationship between the two but were afraid "to fully cooperate in sharing information," according to the statement from the family that was obtained by People.

Reports describe Thomas as a five-feet White female with hazel eyes. She might be sporting a red, strawberry, or blonde hair. On the other hand, Cummins is described as a White male with dark hair and brown eyes. He is also described to be six-feet-tall and weighs around 200 pounds.

Those who know some information are asked to contact 1-800-TBI-FIND, while those who manage to spot them should immediately call 911.
