Is someone about to die in the new season of "Supernatural?" It looks like the Winchester brothers' actions in the season 10 finale of The CW show may have repercussions for one or more people when the show returns for its 11th season next week.

In the finale, Dean was forced to kill Death (Julian Richings) with his own scythe to save Sam's (Jared Padalecki) life. And while the Mark of Cain is now gone from Dean's arm, the brothers' troubles are far from over because by freeing Dean from the Mark, the two inadvertently released the Darkness to the world. According to Death, the Darkness is an ancient evil that is older than the world, and because no one knows what its origin is, Sam and Dean will be struggling to defeat it before it takes over the world.

In a new trailer for season 11, it appears that someone is going to die. But who could it be? At this point, it's anyone's guess because there are glimpses of Sam and Dean looking beaten up and bloody. Even Castiel (Misha Collins) is not immune from danger. He appears to be suffering from the curse that Rowena (Ruth Connell) put on him, which compels him to attack anyone for no reason at all.

The brothers are seen trying to escape from the Darkness in their beloved Impala, and there are glimpses of blood and carnage everywhere.

"What new hell has Dean Winchester unleashed upon the world?" asked Rowena (Ruth Connell).

An unknown woman says, "I know you're dying. I can feel it." But who is she talking to? It could be Castiel, who is seen being tortured during the first few seconds of the trailer. He is also seen being tied up, with a black bag placed over his head, and later running away from a shooter.

Desperate for help, Sam turns to a higher power and prays in a chapel.

"We need your help, God. We need to know there's hope," he prays.

"Supernatural" season 11 premieres on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
