'Supergirl' episode 13: Kara's friends race to save her life

This week on "Supergirl," Kara Danvers fought a meaner version of herself as Maxwell Lord successfully revived a comatose girl in his lab and turned her into Bizarro—a girl who looks like Supergirl and has powers as well.

It was revealed that Max kept seven comatose girls matching Kara's description in his lab and one of them was injected with Supergirl's DNA, which Max found on the Red Tornado body parts.

While Kara was out on a date with Cat's son, Alex, Bizarro swooped in and kidnapped Kara and flew her to a cliff. Kara realized that the fact that Bizarro recognized her even without her Supergirl garb means that Max knows who she really is.

It was also revealed during their initial fight that Bizarro's powers are the opposite of Kara's. Later in the episode, Bizarro and Supergirl fought again and Bizarro was defeated when Alex showed up with a chunk of Blue Kryptonite, which has the opposite qualities of Green Kryptonite.

Next week, the episode titled "For the Girl Who Has Everything" will see Kara in danger when a parasitic alien latches on to her, and it will be up to Alex and Hank to save the world from a Kryptonian attack while Kara is trapped in a dream world.

Here is the official synopsis for the episode:

"Kara's friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission."

In pictures released by CBS (via SuperheroHype), Kara is seen on a stretcher as she is wheeled to the isolation room. The alien, which has several tentacles, is attached to Kara's chest. Kara's dream world is also seen in the pictures and she is seen talking to her parents, who are alive and well.

"Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
