"Star Wars Battlefront II" may take a while to heal its wounds, figuratively, but that did not stop its developers from fixing its internal problems.

DICE, the developer of the game, and Electronic Arts (EA), the publisher, have introduced a new game update numbered Patch 0.2 which fixes save issues, spawn problems, and incorrect vehicle damage calculations. In addition to those, the patch will also allegedly fix performance issues, such as stuttering, low frame rate, and general engine stability problems which may cause some crashes. This could be especially useful for players with less than the recommended system requirements.

On the gameplay side of things, the spawn times have also been halved, from 10 seconds down to just five in Strike mode. The Tatooine map has also been reworked regarding spawn points to make them more optimal and balanced.

Other fixes include addressing the issue of Rey's lightsaber sometimes disappearing, incorrect camera view after joining a game, killstreaks not being calculated correctly in Starfighter Assault mode, and other various head-up display (HUD) fixes which improves the view for the players.

General bug fixes are also present, solving problems like the player's saved data getting erased when starting the game with no controllers connected, several clipping issues occurring during the campaign, and other collision issues. It seems that EA is now doing its best to fix the game after the major player base backlash it experienced due to the loot box and microtransactions.

The update is now live and should be installed on the PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and PC once the players boot up the application. Of course, there might still be a lot of other gameplay and technical issues present in the game, which means that a lot more patches and update might be necessary in the future.

It is also not sure whether EA plans to bring back the microtransactions for "Star Wars Battlefront II," as doing so may add up to other issues of the game or give birth to new ones.

"Star Wars Battlefront II" is now available for the Xbox One, PS4, and Microsoft Windows.
